For over a decade, Cafe Kreyol has been working to revolutionize Haitian coffee — both in quality and impact. What started in 2012 with just 200 producers has now expanded to 2,800 people total, across the country. But our mission goes beyond coffee. We’re committed to direct trade, innovation, and economic transformation, ensuring that every cup supports real change and independence in Haitian communities.

Brewing Economic Growth, One Coffee Plant at a Time
Haiti has a deep-rooted coffee history, dating back over 250 years. But economic and political instability and a lack of infrastructure have made it difficult for farmers to thrive. Cafe Kreyol is changing that. Through our direct trade partnerships, we invest over $1 million annually into Haiti, paying farmers up to 300% above “fair trade” minimums to ensure sustainable livelihoods and a path to long-term prosperity.
Our Own-a-Tree Program allows farmers to revitalize their land with high-quality coffee plants — without needing financial capital or taking on upfront risks. For $180, a farmer can receive 100 coffee plants, grow them on their land, and repay the cost with the fruit of their first harvest — knowing they have a guaranteed buyer in us, year after year.

The impact? Roads are being paved in villages so children can walk to school and trade can flow. Trash services are starting in local communities. Farmers are saving money, buying land, and expanding their homes — all because of specialty coffee and offering producers a hand up in partnership.
Award-Winning Haitian Coffee: A Global Contender
For years, Haitian coffee has been overlooked on the world stage despite being one of the oldest origins in the western hemisphere — but that’s changing. At 92 points, our Zombie Desert® is the highest-scoring Haitian coffee ever and a Golden Bean medal-winner, proving that Haiti can produce specialty coffee on par with the world’s best.

Innovation: The First Red Honey Process in Haiti
At Cafe Kreyol, we’re not just sourcing coffee — we’re leading innovation in Haitian processing techniques. We recently developed Haiti’s first red honey process. Grown at an ultra-high altitude, we expect to receive shipments of this new coffee in June, and are thrilled to begin offering to our customers later this year. Additionally, we train farmers in post-harvest processing, cupping, pH testing, and acidity balancing, ensuring that Haitian coffee competes with the best in the world. Today, over 2,800 coffee professionals in Haiti are equipped with the skills needed to produce world-class coffee — skills they can take to the bank.

Coffee That Creates Change
When you choose Cafe Kreyol’s Haitian coffee, you’re not just buying coffee — you’re investing in farmers, sustainable growth, and an economic ecosystem that empowers local communities.
This is about more than just coffee. This is the honorable way to treat one another.
