This Ethiopian coffee comes from the Biru Bekele wash station, located in the Oromia region of Ethiopia. With farms on elevations between 1800 and 2100 m ASL, this region is known for some of the best coffee in the world.
Biru started growing coffee in 2005 and has been exporting for over 15 years. He built a washing station in 2018 and decided to produce only natural processed coffee. He likes to focus on one thing at a time and make sure it is perfect.
We believe farmers should get paid based on the quality of their product and we practice this belief by paying up to 300% higher wages than what Fair Trade requires.
