Cup of Excellence is one of the world’s most prestigious coffee competitions, organized by the Alliance for Coffee Excellence. Each year, hundreds of coffees are submitted by producers hoping to earn recognition among the finest coffees their country has to offer.
These coffees undergo multiple rounds of rigorous blind evaluation by national and international juries composed of experienced coffee professionals. Only the highest-performing coffees earn the distinction of Cup of Excellence winners.
Cafe Kreyol has had the privilege of serving on the International Jury for Cup of Excellence, giving us firsthand experience evaluating some of the world’s most extraordinary coffees.
For the 2026 holiday season, we’ve assembled an exclusive collection of five award-winning coffees from the Honduras and Nicaragua Cup of Excellence competitions.
Each coffee was grown by a distinguished producer, evaluated through one of the world’s most rigorous coffee competitions, and carefully roasted by Cafe Kreyol to showcase its unique character.
From delicate floral Geishas to intensely fruity natural-processed coffees, this collection offers an extraordinary journey through the diversity and complexity of competition-quality specialty coffee.

We believe farmers should get paid based on the quality of their product and we practice this belief by paying up to 300% higher wages than what Fair Trade requires.
This Direct Trade system, that is now the backbone of Cafe Kreyol, believes that quality and sustainability are parallel.
Our story continues as we work to alleviate poverty in rural coffee growing regions, one cup at a time.
